Live Sound & Studio Engineer

Carla Feuerstein

live

Live Sound Engineer with over 12 years experience in touring, festivals and venue work in Scotland and Europe.

While I have worked with artists from a variety of backgrounds, my main focus lies with the Folk and Traditional Music Scene of Scotland, where I've had the pleasure of working with outstanding artists such as Hen Hoose, Breabach, HEISK, The Paul McKenna Band, Rosie H. Sullivan, VRAELL, Seàn Gray and the crossover-folk-theatre production Hebridean Treasure – Lost and Found.

Studio

As a studio engineer, I have the great privilege and pleasure of working out of GLOWORM Recording studios in Glasgow.

Here, too, I specialise in folk, trad and acoustic music. My services range from simply facilitating a recording session to taking a production from recording to mixing.

Previous clients include Claire Hastings, Kim Oehme and Grace Morton.

Teaching

One of my great passions is passing on my knowledge to the next generation of sound engineers, particularly those of underrepresented backgrounds.

I have led workshops for SWIM, The BIT Collective and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s “Widening Access to the Creative Industries” department.

Since 2021, I have also been teaching regular tutorials and masterclasses as a part-time lecturer at the RCS’s School of Music and BEd departments.
